Media Fear and Children

I think this video speaks for itself. This is such a great example of how the news today is reaching children and instilling a sense of fear. Is it the parents job to filter news from their child, or is it the news stations that should? I believe that newscasts like the ones in the video should only be shown on late night showings. But the ones you just saw were shown in the morning at breakfast and around dinner time. What is this saying to our children?
